Sweet and sour chicken

INGREDIENTS

  • 140 grams chicken (cut in cubes)
  • 20 grams tomato
  • 20 grams cucumber
  • 5 grams dried red chilli
  • 15 grams spring onion
  • 80 grams pineapple
  • 5 grams garlic
  • 30 ml cooking oil
  • 200 grams rice
  • Sweet and Sour Sauce:
  • 100 gms Knorr ketchup
  • 20 ml pineapple juice
  • 1/2 lemon squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • A pinch of salt

METHOD

  • Lets start with the sauce first. Add some ketchup, lemon juice, sugar, pineapple, honey, vinegar and a pinch of salt. Mix all the ingredients together and set it aside.
  • Coming up next are the vegetables. Lets put them all together on a plate and set it aside.
  • Going towards the chicken, we will dust it with corn flour and chicken powder.
  • Deep fry the chicken shortly after the marination.
  • Once your chicken is nice and crispy, take it out and get another pan ready with some oil.
  • Add chopped garlic to the oil, followed by the chicken.
  • Now add the vegetables, the sauce and mix it all together. Serve it with rice!
